About the Event
After the torch lit march a warm welcome awaits you in the Westgate Hotel with performance, music, food and bars split over multiple floors.
In the lower ballroom we'll have a 19th Century bar (with a difference) and between 8 and 10 pm will feature Soviet Leeds' new perambulation: "The Spark Once Struck". A sideways look at the Northern Chartists with songs, words, rabble rousing and grown-up politics (honest).
Meanwhile in the Rising bar on first floor we'll have acoustic sets and festival food by MEAT and Rogue Fox.
From 10 pm in the ballroom we'll have a headline set from Newport Rising favourites Rusty Shackle and support
Entry to the Westgate and all areas is free but *VENUE CAPACITY IS STRICTLY LIMITED* and priority will be given to torch bearers and those that attend the march.
Wheelchair access is available to both bars, please notify a member of staff if you require assistance.
