Doors open at 6.30pm, event will begin at 7.15pm.
Entry is free but donations are invited to cover venue and charity costs.
Historian Pete Strong launches his new book at the Westgate. Although John Frost was very
much a man of Newport, he lived out his days in Bristol after his return in 1856 from his exile in
Tasmania, and was buried in the city in Horfield parish churchyard. His wife and children had
moved there just after he was transported, settling first in Montpelier and finally in Stapleton.
